Each ticket comes with one drink ticket\, which may be redeemed either before or after the show. \nThe Goethe-Institut is excited to continue the ‘Jazz@Goethe’ concert series with bassist Zoë Jorgenson. This edition of Jazz@Goethe is co-presented with the Washington Women in Jazz Festival. The concert is on Sunday 3/26\, beginning at 2:00pm. \nThis series continues in the spirit of the DC Public Library’s ‘Jazz in the Basement’ series\, which the Goethe-Institut co-hosted for several years in its previous location on K street. We are very happy to revive the tradition of bringing jazz to the historic U street corridor\, where jazz greats such as Duke Ellington once thrived! \nWashington Women in Jazz Festival is thrilled to present bassist\, vocalist\, and composer\, Zoë Jorgenson. In addition to being a favorite of the WWJF 2018 Emerging Artist Showcase\, Zoë continues to be an in-demand bassist for a wide range of DC area bands. A Las Vegas native\, Zoë has a style that encapsulates jazz\, improvised music and elements of indie and folk music. She is currently located in the DMV area and loves performing\, composing\, teaching and arranging. She will be performing a mixture of jazz standards\, and original compositions based on improvised music accompanied by her trio. \nZoe Jorgenson (bass\, vocals)\nNataly Merezhuk (violin)\nSimone Baron (accordion\, piano)
